Mother kills herself after family feud

JAKARTA: A 45-year-old mother set herself on fire by dousing
herself with kerosene on Tuesday at 11 p.m. in her rented house
in Jagakarsa, South Jakarta. She died instantly and her body was
sent to Cipto Mangunkusumo General Hospital (RSCM) morgue.

The husband, who had tried to save her, also suffered from
burns. He was also rushed to RSCM and his condition is improving.

Their 18-year-old son said that his parents had fought before
the incident began. The fight, according to the son, was about
his older sister who often came home late. On that day, she did
not even return home. After the fight, the mother set fire to
herself in the bathroom.

Jagakarsa Police are investigating the case. -- JP
