The Motaain State Border Crossing Post (PLBN), managed by the National Border Management Agency (BNPP), has introduced an Affordable Market Operation and Mobile Samsat services to support the stability of essential commodity prices while facilitating public service access for border communities in Belu Regency, East Nusa Tenggara (NTT), on Tuesday (31/3/2026).

The activities received an enthusiastic response from the morning onwards and represent a tangible manifestation of the state’s presence at the forefront.

In the Affordable Market Operation, conducted in collaboration with the Belu Regency Agriculture and Food Security Office, PLBN Motaain distributed rice under the Food Supply and Price Stability Programme (SPHP) in 5-kilogram (kg) packages at an affordable price of Rp 60,000 per sack.

The total rice distributed reached 5 tons, equivalent to 1,000 sacks, and all were sold out to the public.

The services included annual motor vehicle tax payments, STNK (Vehicle Registration Certificate) renewals, vehicle ownership transfers, and consultations on motor vehicle administration.

The integrated services are deemed effective in reducing travel distance and time for border communities to access public services.

From the Mobile Samsat services, motor vehicle tax receipts totalled Rp 4,176,086, derived from payments for one motorcycle, one four-wheeled pick-up vehicle, and one minibus.

“The Affordable Market Operation and Mobile Samsat activities are concrete forms of the state’s presence in border areas. We aim to ensure that the public obtains essential needs at affordable prices as well as fast, easy, and nearby vehicle administration services,” stated Maria in a press release received by Kompas.com on Thursday (2/4/2026).

Maria added that inter-agency collaboration will continue to be strengthened to make public services in border areas increasingly inclusive and sustainable.

According to her, this proactive service approach is effective in improving access while enhancing public trust in government services.
