At that time, Ahmad Luthfi was cycling to encourage civil servants to save energy on Thursday, 9 April 2026. The former Central Java Regional Police Chief rode a black Specialized-brand bicycle.
Luthfi rode the bicycle with his subordinates. They initially gathered in front of the Raya Baiturrahman Mosque, about one kilometre from the Central Java Governor’s Office. The group instead circled several streets before heading to the Governor’s Office.
Luthfi’s mount is identical to the 2023 Specialized Turbo Levo 3 Carbon series bicycle. On the Specialized.com website, the bicycle is priced at US$6,799.99, equivalent to Rp116 million. The electric bicycle is equipped with suspension in the middle frame and front fork.

- AI Photo Detection Feature in JAKI
The DKI Jakarta Provincial Government will strengthen supervision of the Jakarta Kini or Jaki complaint application system to prevent photo manipulation responses using artificial intelligence or AI.
Head of the DKI Jakarta Communications, Informatics, and Statistics Agency Budi Awaluddin said this strengthening of the Jaki system is to prevent photo manipulation like what happened in Kalisari Ward, East Jakarta.
“In the future, there will be improvements such as stricter photo validation, use of direct documentation from the field, and development of features to detect potential manipulation/fraud/AI,” Budi said when contacted on Thursday, 9 April 2026.
Budi emphasised that the regional government will also impose sanctions if manipulation of complaint reports is proven. To maintain the integrity and trust in Jaki, the public can also provide feedback in the form of ratings and reviews after the report is followed up.
