Most of Jakarta expected to see rain on Monday evening
The Meteorology, Climatology, and Geophysics Agency (BMKG) has forecast that most of Jakarta will be drenched by light rain on Monday (15/6) evening, while South Jakarta has the potential to experience moderate intensity rainfall.
Through its official Instagram account, the BMKG predicted that on Monday morning, West Jakarta, Central Jakarta, North Jakarta, and East Jakarta will be overcast. South Jakarta may experience hazy conditions, while the Thousand Islands could see light rain.
Towards midday, almost all of Jakarta is still forecast to be overcast, while the Thousand Islands will experience light rain. Air temperatures in the morning range from 25–26 degrees Celsius, with average wind speeds of 5–9 kilometres per hour.
During the afternoon, West Jakarta, Central Jakarta, South Jakarta, and East Jakarta are expected to be cloudy, whereas North Jakarta and the Thousand Islands will be overcast. Air temperatures will range from 27–32 degrees Celsius, with wind speeds of 3–10 km per hour.
In the late afternoon, West Jakarta, Central Jakarta, and North Jakarta are forecast to be partly cloudy. The Thousand Islands will be cloudy, while South Jakarta and East Jakarta have the potential for light rain. Air temperatures will range from 27–30 degrees Celsius, with wind speeds of 5–13 km per hour.
During the evening around 10 p.m. Western Indonesian Time, most of Jakarta is forecast to experience light rain, while South Jakarta may experience moderate rain. Air temperatures will range from 24–26 degrees Celsius, with wind speeds of 5–7 km per hour.
