Majalengka Regency is continuously working to reduce unemployment rates by expanding access to job opportunities. In addition to partnering with companies, another approach is organising job fairs.

Majalengka Regent Eman Suherman stated that the local government has implemented the Mata Hati (Masyarakat Cepat Kerja Hadirkan Kebahagiaan Kuatkan Inklusi) programme. Based on data up to 4 May 2026, the regional government has partnered with 23 companies in the Majalengka area.

Out of a total of 2,634 job seekers who participated in the recruitment process at BLK Cakraningrat, 2,009 individuals have successfully been absorbed into jobs at various companies. “This demonstrates that the labour climate in Majalengka Regency is increasingly competitive and capable of attracting industrial interest,” said Eman, while opening the Job Fair event held at SMKN 1 Majalengka on Tuesday (5/5/2026).

The data also shows that the absorbed workforce is dominated by women. Of the total 2,009 accepted workers, 1,812 or 90.01 per cent are female workers.

Meanwhile, in the 2026 Job Fair, 20 companies participated. There were 3,536 job vacancies available in various positions.

Eman stated that the Job Fair is one of the concrete strategies of the government in bridging the needs of the industrial world with job seekers.

“Through this activity, the community is given ease in accessing various job opportunities directly, quickly, and in an integrated manner,” he said.
