Most areas of Jakarta to experience rain on Wednesday afternoon

Jakarta (ANTARA) – The Meteorology, Climatology, and Geophysics Agency (BMKG) forecasts that most areas of Jakarta will be rain-swept on Wednesday afternoon to evening.

BMKG, via its Instagram page @infobmkg, details that West Jakarta, Central Jakarta, South Jakarta, and East Jakarta will be shrouded in thick clouds from the morning, specifically 07:00 to 10:00 WIB.

Rain is expected to begin in these four areas in the afternoon, from 13:00 to 16:00 WIB. The weather is expected to turn back to thick cloud cover at night from 19:00 to 22:00 WIB.

As with other regions, BMKG predicts North Jakarta will be thickly clouded in the morning. However, thunderstorms are expected in this region at 13:00 WIB. The weather will return to thick cloud cover in the afternoon from 16:00 to 19:00 WIB. Meanwhile, at night, at 22:00 WIB, North Jakarta is forecast to experience hazy air.

Finally in the Kepulauan Seribu, BMKG forecasts rain has been falling since the morning at 07:00 WIB. Though weather turns to heavy overcast at 10:00 WIB, rain will return at 13:00 WIB. In the late afternoon at 16:00 WIB, Kepulauan Seribu is predicted to experience hazy air. Then, in the evening, rain will return at 19:00 WIB and thunder at 22:00 WIB.
