Mosque Near Amien Rais's Home Receives 1.1-Ton Sacrificial Cow from TIW

Masjid Fatahillah on Jalan Brojolamatan, Padukuhan Gejayan, Condongcatur, Depok, Sleman received a 1.1-ton sacrificial cow marked ‘TIW’ during yesterday’s Eid al-Adha celebrations. Muhani, chairman of Masjid Fatahillah’s takmir (management committee), said the large cow was delivered on Wednesday, May 27. The donor, identified by the initials TIW, delivered the animal. Muhani declined to disclose TIW’s identity, stating the donor initially intended to sacrifice an animal in Sleman Regency. According to Muhani, TIW had planned to donate to the mosque near senior politician Amien Rais’s residence, but local hamlet officials directed them to Masjid Fatahillah instead. Masjid Fatahillah is located just metres from Amien Rais’s home. Muhani added that the former MPR chairman was part of the founding committee for the mosque. ‘TIW’s identity is confidential; I dare not reveal it,’ Muhani said when contacted on Friday, May 29. Muhani noted only the owner visited the mosque to confirm the sacrifice had arrived. The donor resides in Ngawi, East Java. ‘It’s a ’metal giant’ cow,’ Muhani said, referring to TIW’s sacrificial animal. TIW’s sacrificial cow was slaughtered on Thursday, May 28. The meat was distributed to locals, with the remainder sent to Kulon Progo, Gunungkidul, Magelang, and Wonosobo. ‘We collectively thanked TIW for the cow donation with the committee,’ Muhani said. ‘They prefer not to disclose their name, just using the initials TIW.’ ‘Everyone was delighted,’ Muhani added. ‘Residents were amazed it reached the mosque. We’re grateful for such a large donation. Some even asked, ’Will there be another one like this tomorrow?’’ This year, Masjid Fatahillah slaughtered five cows, including TIW’s contribution, and 14 goats. TIW’s initials correspond to Cabinet Secretary Teddy Indra Wijaya, who often uses the abbreviation in his Instagram posts.
