Morowali Regency Strengthens Commitment to Green Investment Through BNSI Project
The Morowali Regency Government has reaffirmed its commitment to supporting investment that prioritises environmental sustainability. This stance was reiterated during a ceremony for the placement of the main Autoclave equipment at the BNSI project in Morowali on Wednesday (22/7/2026). The event was attended by Minister of Investment and Downstreaming/Head of BKPM Rosan Roeslani, Central Sulawesi Deputy Governor Reny Lamadjido, along with other government officials and industrial sector stakeholders. According to Iksan, Morowali, as a strategic industrial area, continues to receive investment flows from various sectors. Therefore, the local government encourages all incoming investments to be based on the principles of sustainable development. “We from the region are certainly very supportive, because many industries are coming to invest in Morowali Regency. Our investors are now focusing on environmental aspects, zero emissions, and so on. This is in line with the principles we apply in Morowali Regency,” said Iksan. He noted that the increasing attention from investors towards the application of more environmentally friendly technology is a positive development for the region. The Morowali Regency Government will continue to support investments that can bring about a balance between industrial progress, economic growth, and environmental sustainability. Iksan also expressed hope that the BNSI project can serve as an example of modern technology application within the Morowali industrial area. The presence of this technology is considered to have the potential to support emission reduction efforts while strengthening industrial competitiveness amid global demands for more sustainable business practices. “This is something we welcome together and we support,” he concluded. The Morowali Regency Government is optimistic that the BNSI project will strengthen the sustainability-based investment climate in the region. Besides driving economic growth, the project is expected to provide benefits to the community while maintaining a commitment to environmental preservation.
