Jakarta — The Directorate General of Taxation (DJP) has recorded 7,723,526 annual Personal Income Tax (PPh) returns for the 2025 tax year filed as of 12 March 2026.
Inge Diana Rismawanti, Director of Public Outreach, Services and Public Relations at the DJP, stated that the majority of these tax return submissions came from employee individual taxpayers.
For taxpayers with January to December fiscal years, the breakdown is as follows: 6,856,710 individual employee taxpayers, and 705,138 non-employee individual taxpayers. Additionally, 160,195 corporate taxpayers filed their returns in Indonesian rupiah, whilst 128 corporate taxpayers filed in US dollars, Inge said in an official statement on Friday (13 March 2026).
Beyond tax return submissions, Inge also noted developments in account activations on the new tax administration system, the DJP Coretax platform. As of the same period, the number of taxpayers who have activated Coretax accounts reached 16,146,343.
Of this total, 15,111,801 are individual taxpayers, 944,012 are corporate taxpayers, 90,304 are government agency taxpayers, and 226 are taxpayers engaged in Electronic-Based Trading System operations (PMSE).
The DJP previously called on taxpayers to submit their annual tax returns early to avoid technical difficulties as the filing deadline approaches. The final deadline for submitting annual PPh returns for individual taxpayers for the 2025 tax year is 31 March 2026.
