More than 600 residents took part in the mass recruitment process held by Eiger Adventure Land in Megamendung, Bogor Regency. The activity, comprising a series of psychometric tests and interview sessions, is part of the company’s effort to prioritise local recruitment and deliver tangible benefits to communities around the ecotourism site.

Megamendung sub-district head Ridwan said that providing employment for local residents is an important step for the company. ‘We appreciate job openings that prioritise the absorption of local workers from around the site. This is a positive step for improving the welfare of our community,’ Ridwan said in a statement on Saturday, 7 March.

In addition to Ridwan, the recruitment opening was also attended by Sukagalih Village Head Alwansyah Sudarman. The recruitment process focused not only on professional competencies but also on character, integrity and alignment of values as the foundation of a strong and responsible organisational culture.

‘TBuilding an organisation is not only about ability but also character. Every individual who joins us brings the values we uphold and contributes to delivering meaningful experiences for the community and the environment,’ said Eiger Adventure Land’s Chief Executive Officer, Imanuel Wirajaya.

Through the recruitment, Imanuel said, they aim to ensure that ecotourism development can progress in tandem with empowering the local community. It will deliver a positive impact on the Megamendung economy while remaining aligned with efforts to rehabilitate degraded land and protect the forest area.
