Jakarta — Labour Minister Yassierli revealed that more than 500 workers have sought consultation regarding Tunjangan Hari Raya (THR, Year-End Allowance) ahead of Eid al-Fitr at service posts established by the Labour Ministry.

“We are monitoring the situation now, and our service posts have been receiving consultations. The Labour Ministry has already processed more than 500 consultations,” Yassierli said in Jakarta on Monday.

The ministry began receiving THR-related consultations from 14 days before Eid through to seven days before the holiday. “For example, cases about how THR should be calculated and so on,” he explained.

Reports have been received from 14 days through to seven days before Eid. These posts serve to ensure workers receive their entitled THR payments.

The majority of enquiries received relate to calculations of the THR amount workers should receive.

Seven days before Eid, the complaint post was officially opened to receive reports from workers who have not received THR from their employers.

The complaint posts are not only available at the Labour Ministry but have also been established by regional governments across various areas.

“So those who have not received THR and are entitled to it under regulations, please submit your report to the post,” Yassierli said.

Yassierli stressed that companies are obligated to pay THR no later than seven days before Eid al-Fitr in the year 1447 Hijri. The government will follow up on all complaints received in accordance with applicable regulations.

Companies that delay THR payments can be fined five per cent of the total THR owed to workers.

“We will follow up. If by regulation the company must pay a five per cent fine, this certainly serves as a notice to that company,” Yassierli stated firmly.

Through these complaint posts and consultation services, the Labour Ministry hopes that workers’ THR rights will be fulfilled on time and to encourage companies to comply with government-established regulations.

“As we previously stated, the 2026 THR and Religious Holiday Allowance Post has two services: consultation and complaints. Starting today, we have opened our complaint service,” said Labour Minister Yassierli in a statement in Jakarta on Friday (13 March).

The Labour Ministry’s THR and Religious Holiday Allowance Post opened on 2 March 2026. Since its launch, the ministry has received 1,134 consultations.

The minister explained that the consultation service addresses questions about THR and religious holiday allowance rights, including beneficiary eligibility, calculation methods, and problems arising in special circumstances such as termination of employment.

Through the complaint service, workers can report various THR payment problems, such as unpaid THR or THR paid in instalments.
