A new road stretches from Jl. Sultan Agung (Manggarai) to Jl. HR Rasuna Said, passing through the road below the Dukuh Atas bridge, and leads to Karet cemetery in Pejompongan. The ever widening road network must be followed by an increase in public transportation facilities.

This new segment of the city road network is vital because a lot of commuters need transportation services to take them to office and business centers in Jl. Rasuna Said and Jl. Sudirman. But the number of public vehicles which ply this new route must be limited so as not to cause more traffic jams, which often occur at the intersections in front of the Shangri-La Hotel.
