More police for Maumere

KUPANG, East Nusa Tenggara: The East Nusa Tenggara Police
Command is planning to add 150 mobile brigade personnel to its
force in Maumere, Sikka village.

Col. Tri Dani said that the increase in personnel is intended
to expand service to residents.

Currently, there are 2,631 police personnel for 3.4 million
residents, Tri said on Monday after a celebration of the 50th
anniversary of the Indonesian Police Force.

"Since the number is rather disproportional, we have also been
urging local residents to self-police their own community," Tri
