More comfortable buses needed

Economy-class busses connecting several towns in West and
Central Java have too many seats, with the result that there is
too little space between the rows. As these buses usually cover
great distances, it must be painful for the passengers to have to
sit so uncomfortably for these long journeys.

In this respect, the overland communications directorate must
ensure that there are not too many seats in buses so that
passengers, usually poorer people, can sit comfortably.

In East Java and Jakarta, economy-class buses provide
comfortable seats and some are also air-conditioned.
