More Bali victims buried

DENPASAR, Bali: The Disaster Victims Identification team (DVI) for the Oct. 12 Bali bombings buried two unidentified bodies and 20 bags full of unidentified body parts on Thursday.

"We have contacted every embassy and consulate general whose citizens may be among the victims, and they've all agreed with our decision," said I Gde Nurjaya, the Bali provincial government's public relations chief.

The two bodies were among the last to still remain unidentified and unclaimed.

The DVI team, led by Australian John Bird, has identified 202 victims within a four-month period.

The team also reported that 191 victims died during the blast, eight died during treatment in the hospital and three bodies remained unidentified.

Australian victims topped the number of casualties with 89, while Indonesia had the second highest number of victims at 37, followed by Britain 22, Switzerland nine, the United States seven, Germany six, and the Netherlands four.--Antara
