As a representative of the people from the electoral district in question, Danang stated his full support for the ongoing legal measures. Standing before the media accompanied by officials from the GP Ansor Pati Regency who were wearing their ceremonial uniforms, Danang asserted that the law must stand firm above all else. The presence of GP Ansor officials behind him underscored the synergy between the legislature and youth organisations in overseeing justice. “I stand here to ensure that the legal process runs transparently and fairly. There is no room for sexual violence in any institution, especially in religious education environments that should be the safest places for our children,” said Danang, in a written statement on Wednesday (6/5/2026). The mass action organised by GP Ansor, Banser, Aliansi Santri Pati untuk Demokrasi (ASPIRASI), and local residents received special appreciation from Danang. Danang viewed this movement as a manifestation of public concern for the integrity of educational institutions. He also emphasised that Ansor’s steps were aimed at preserving the honour of pesantren. “My full support for my friends in GP Ansor Pati. What they are doing is a form of service to humanity,” Danang stressed. “We must separate the actions of individuals from the nobility of the pesantren institution itself. Punishing the individuals is the best way to safeguard the honour of pesantren,” he added. At the end of his statement, Danang pledged to continue monitoring the developments of this case at both central and regional levels to ensure that victims receive their full legal rights and that the perpetrators are processed in accordance with applicable laws. Previously, the Chairman of PC GP Ansor Pati, Ahmad Nashiruddin, in his oration, referred to the mass action as a ‘jihad for humanity’.
