Jakarta (ANTARA) – Bank Indonesia (BI) has set a maximum amount of money that can be exchanged during the lead-up to the National Religious Holidays (HBKN) Idul Fitri 1447 H/2026, at Rp5.3 million across various denominations. “In various denominations, from Rp1,000 to Rp50,000, the maximum is Rp5,300,000 or you can choose to exchange a smaller amount if you prefer,” said Fenty Tirtasari Ekarina, Senior Analyst in the Currency Management Department at BI. Speaking in a podcast titled “Jaga Harga, Jaga Rupiah: Pengendalian Inflasi Jelang HBKN bersama SERAMBI 2026” in Jakarta on Wednesday, she said that in the DKI Jakarta region BI provides Rp52.6 trillion in cash distributed through banking channels. Of that total, Rp1.8 trillion can be exchanged via the SERAMBI 2026 service at 3,191 exchange points across DKI Jakarta, in cooperation with 21 banks in the province. “Locations include mosques, bank branches, and integrated mobile cash desks,” she said. To exchange money, the public must first place an order on the Pintar app at https://pintar.bi.go.id. “After successfully placing an order, you may visit the location on the date and time listed on the booking confirmation, bringing your ID to receive the rupiah notes,” she added. The exchange service runs until 15 March 2026 at various BI-prepared locations in the DKI Jakarta area. “SERAMBI 2026” is a rupiah exchange service held to welcome HBKN celebrations, specifically Idul Fitri 1447 Hijriah, by ensuring adequate and high-quality rupiah notes are available. This aligns with the strong Indonesian tradition of maintaining social ties during Lebaran, including sharing happiness by giving rupiah.
