Money Dispute and Motorcycle Compensation Triggered Murder in Sukabumi
The motive behind the murder of Eka Yani (35) by H alias Delon (42) in Sukabumi, West Java, has begun to emerge. Police revealed that a dispute over money occurred between the two. The murder took place on 29 June 2026. That night, Delon asked Yani to meet at a plantation. Sukabumi Police Chief AKBP Samian stated that after communication, the two met and rode together on a motorcycle to a teak plantation. Once there, they argued about money. According to witness statements, Delon was unhappy with how Yani had used some money. Unwilling to accept the situation, the perpetrator demanded compensation by forcing the victim to sell her motorcycle. The quarrel escalated in the darkness of the plantation, triggering Delon’s emotions until he struck the victim’s head twice with a bottle and a stone, rendering her unconscious.
