Moscow (ANTARA) - Russian President Vladimir Putin will hold talks on Monday (13/4) with Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto, who will undertake a working visit to Moscow, according to a Kremlin statement on Sunday.

“On 13 April, Russian President Vladimir Putin will hold talks in Moscow with Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto, who will undertake a working visit to our country,” the statement read.

The Kremlin added that the two leaders will discuss the current state of the Russia-Indonesia strategic partnership and prospects for deepening that cooperation. The two presidents will also discuss various emerging international and regional issues.

In President Prabowo’s first and second visits, cooperation between the two countries in the energy sector has been a focus. Indonesia and Russia at that time agreed to cooperate in the field of new and renewable energy as well as the development of nuclear technology.

Putin also expressed his country’s readiness to cooperate with Indonesia in the field of nuclear energy for peaceful purposes.

Prabowo emphasised that amid the turbulent global geopolitical situation, the Indonesian Government needs to actively establish communication and cooperation with various countries to maintain national economic stability, particularly in the energy sector.
