Monday Morning: 16 Neighbourhoods and 2 Roads in Jakarta Remain Flooded
Several areas remain submerged by floodwaters resulting from heavy rainfall that began the previous day. As of Monday morning, 16 neighbourhoods remain inundated.
According to data released by the Jakarta Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD DKI), as of Monday (9 March 2026) at 06:00 WIB, 16 neighbourhoods remain flooded. Water levels have reached 90 centimetres in depth.
“BPBD notes that currently 16 neighbourhoods and 2 roads are inundated,” said BPBD DKI.
Meanwhile, two road segments are also reported to be flooded. The two inundated roads are Jalan Kapuk Muara Raya in Kelurahan Kapuk Muara and the traffic light at Luar Kembangan Raya in Kelurahan Kembangan Selatan.

West Jakarta has 16 neighbourhoods, consisting of:
- Kelurahan Duri Kosambi: 4 neighbourhoods
Water depth: 30 to 80 centimetres
Cause: High rainfall and overflow of Kali Semanan canal
- Kelurahan Rawa Buaya: 7 neighbourhoods
Water depth: 60 to 90 centimetres
Cause: High rainfall
- Kelurahan Jelambar: 1 neighbourhood
Water depth: 30 centimetres
Cause: High rainfall and overflow of Kali Grogol canal
- Kelurahan Kembangan Selatan: 2 neighbourhoods
Water depth: 50 centimetres
Cause: High rainfall and overflow of Kali Bendungan Kali Pelopor canal
