Monas welcomes nearly 10,000 visitors during Idul Adha holiday

The National Monument (Monas) in Central Jakarta recorded 9,558 visitors on Thursday during the Idul Adha public holiday. Muhammad Isa Sarnuri, Head of the Monas Area Management Unit (UPK), stated that 9,356 were domestic tourists, with the remaining 202 international visitors hailing from China, Germany, Vietnam, the United States, Japan, the Netherlands, India, Australia, Russia, France, Malaysia, South Korea, and Brazil. Monas opens from 08:00 to 18:00 WIB on Tuesdays to Sundays for the monument itself, while the surrounding area is open from 06:00 to 18:00 WIB. Mondays are closed for maintenance. On Fridays to Sundays, the monument opens until 22:00 WIB, with the surrounding area until 22:00 WIB. The management also hosts a 30-minute dancing fountain show twice daily during weekends, at 19:30-20:00 and 20:30-21:00 WIB.
