Monas Remains Temporarily Closed: Operational Hours Adjusted

The National Monument (Monas) in Jakarta remains temporarily closed as intensive cleaning and maintenance processes continue on the main body of the Monas Tower. In connection with this, the management has announced adjustments to the operational hours.

This information was shared by the Monas Area Management Unit (UPK Monas) via its official Instagram account on Friday (11/09/2026). Visitors are advised of these operational adjustments to help them plan their visits accordingly.

“Monas Friends, there are operational hour adjustments you need to know before visiting. Check the information in this post to find out the Monas area opening schedule,” the announcement stated.

According to the details provided by the UPK Monas Instagram account, the Monas Tower and the surrounding Monas area are closed to visitors every Monday. This remains standard procedure for routine maintenance and care.

From Tuesday to Thursday, the Monas Tower remains closed to visitors until a date yet to be determined. However, the Monable Monas area remains open, with operating hours from 06:00 to 18:00 WIB.

For the Friday to Sunday schedule, the Monas Tower also remains closed to visitors for an indefinite period. Nevertheless, the Monas area remains open with operating hours from 06:00 to 22:00 WIB.

The dancing fountain performances will continue as scheduled, divided into two sessions. The first session takes place from 19:30 to 20:00 WIB, while the second session runs from 20:30 to 21:00 WIB.

This information regarding the adjusted operational hours of the National Monument follows the ongoing intensive cleaning and maintenance process. The temporary closure of the Monas Tower itself has been in effect since 9 September 2026.
