Jakarta (ANTARA) - The People’s Bazaar titled Palace for the People at the National Monument area brought cheer while helping meet the needs of Jakarta residents post-Eid on Saturday, through a programme instructed by President Prabowo Subianto. “Praise be to God, I got a bicycle. For my child’s school. Praise be to God, thank you to Mr President, may all this benefit the community,” said Afnila Wita, a resident of North Jakarta, at the event location. The People’s Bazaar served as a venue for the public to obtain staple needs while also providing an entertaining atmosphere for families coming from various areas in Jakarta. A lively atmosphere was evident from the enthusiasm of children enjoying various play facilities provided at the event site. Ibrahim and Rahim, residents of Tanah Abang, said they were happy to participate in the event since the afternoon. “Playing around, there’s basketball, slides too. So much fun,” they said. In addition, both enjoyed various food offerings available at the location, such as snacks and typical dishes. “Thank you to our President Mr Prabowo, may his sustenance be smooth, his body healthy, and his life extended,” they said. Meanwhile, Ati Fatimah, a resident of East Jakarta, said the People’s Bazaar provided direct benefits to her family, especially for the children who could enjoy entertainment as well as receive prizes. “The children joined the games, got dolls, got snacks, and earlier took some snack food,” she said. She assessed that the event was quite helpful while providing a recreational experience for the public. The People’s Bazaar held at Monas is one of the government’s efforts to assist the public in meeting needs while presenting a space for togetherness and joy for various groups.
