PT Kereta Api Indonesia (Persero) Operational Area (Daop) 1 Jakarta is providing additional stopping facilities for 13 long-distance train journeys departing from Gambir Station at Jatinegara Station on Saturday. Daop 1 Jakarta Public Relations Manager Franoto Wibowo stated that the extraordinary stop (BLB) operating pattern is being implemented to offer customers an alternative departure access point while anticipating potential passenger and traffic congestion around the Gambir Station area in connection with the Monas Grand Concert 2026. “Through this operating pattern, KAI is providing additional stopping facilities at Jatinegara Station. Customers who already have departure tickets from Gambir Station can choose to board from Jatinegara Station for trains designated for extraordinary stops,” Franoto said in a statement on Saturday (18/7/2026). He explained that the operational engineering was prepared to facilitate public access, particularly for customers potentially affected by traffic congestion heading towards the Gambir and National Monument (Monas) area, given that the concert is scheduled to start at 17.00 WIB until it concludes. Despite the additional stopping facility at Jatinegara Station, he confirmed that the dozen train journeys will still depart from Gambir Station according to the schedule stated on the tickets. Jatinegara Station only functions to serve the boarding process of passengers before the train continues its journey to the final destination station.
