Monas Concert: KAI Adds Extra Stops at Jatinegara for 13 Trains from Gambir

PT Kereta Api Indonesia (Persero) Daerah Operasi (Daop) 1 Jakarta is providing additional stop facilities for 13 long-distance train services departing from Gambir Station at Jatinegara Station on Saturday.

Manager of Public Relations for KAI Daop 1 Jakarta, Franoto Wibowo, said the Special Stop (Berhenti Luar Biasa, BLB) operational pattern was implemented to provide customers with an alternative departure point whilst anticipating potential passenger congestion and traffic around Gambir Station in connection with the Grand Monas Concert 2026.

“Through this operational pattern, KAI is providing additional stops at Jatinegara Station. Customers who already hold tickets departing from Gambir Station may choose to board at Jatinegara Station for the trains designated for special stops,” Franoto said in a statement on Saturday (18/7/2026).

He said the operational arrangement was prepared to ease public access, particularly for customers potentially affected by heavy traffic heading towards the Gambir area and the National Monument (Monas), given that the concert is scheduled to run from 17:00 WIB until it finishes.

Despite the additional stop facility at Jatinegara Station, he assured that the dozen-plus train services would still depart from Gambir Station according to the schedules printed on tickets.

Jatinegara Station will serve only for passenger boarding before the trains continue their journeys to their final destinations.
