Momogi Group targets Vietnamese market through Bibica acquisition
Momogi Group, an Indonesian food and beverage manufacturing company, has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with newly acquired subsidiary Bibica Corporation to explore potential collaboration opportunities aimed at accelerating Momogi product innovation and distribution in Vietnam.
The agreement was signed between Momogi and Bibica at Momogi’s Research and Development (R&D) centre, located at the company’s manufacturing facility in Bogor on 10 March 2026. The MoU signing was attended by senior management from both companies, including the directors of Bibica and Momogi Group. This milestone is part of Momogi’s ongoing efforts to strengthen brand presence across Southeast Asia.
Through this collaboration, both companies plan to combine their respective capabilities in product innovation and distribution networks to introduce Momogi products to a wider consumer base in the Vietnamese market.
Vietnam is one of the fastest-growing markets in Southeast Asia, with a population exceeding 100 million and stable economic growth in recent years. Vietnam’s gross domestic product (GDP) per capita reached approximately $5,000 in 2025, reflecting increasing consumer purchasing power and opportunities for domestic consumption growth. These conditions have made Vietnam one of Momogi’s priority markets in its regional expansion strategy.
Previously, Momogi Group expanded its strategic initiatives in Vietnam through the acquisition of Bibica Corporation. This MoU signing represents a follow-up to that cooperation, particularly in exploring wider distribution opportunities for Momogi products in the country.
Sumarlik, Director of Momogi Group, stated that this collaboration represents an important step in the company’s regional market development. “Vietnam is one of the fastest-growing markets in Southeast Asia. Through collaboration with Bibica, we hope Momogi products can reach more consumers in Vietnam while strengthening our brand presence in the market,” Sumarlik said.
As an established confectionery producer operating in Vietnam with an extensive national distribution network, Bibica Corporation is regarded as a strategic partner in supporting the expansion of Momogi’s market reach. The MoU signing also marks an initial step towards deeper collaboration between both companies, as discussions continue regarding potential product distribution arrangements in the future.
