Moments of Disruption During GKPI Congregation Worship in Tangerang
An incident involving the disruption of worship activities for the Indonesian Protestant Christian Church (GKPI) congregation took place at a house suspected of being used as a place of worship in Mekar Village, Banten, on Sunday (20/09).
A group of residents arrived at the location and demanded that the worship activities be halted, citing the absence of official permits.
During the incident, one resident was reported to have brandished a sharp weapon and spoke in an aggressive tone.
The Chief of Rajeg Police, AKP Yono Taryono, confirmed the occurrence of the event and urged both parties to engage in further deliberation on Tuesday (22/09).
