Moments of Arrest for Bogor Woman's Killer, Who Attempted High-Speed Escape from Police

Video footage of the arrest of a suspect, identified by the initial A (25), in the murder of a woman whose body was discovered on Jalan Sholeh Iskandar, Tanahsareal District, Bogor City, has been circulating on social media. The perpetrator was pursued by police in a vehicle.

In the video observed on Saturday (23/05/2026), the pursuit was initially seen on a section of a toll road. Police officers issued warnings to the suspect to surrender; however, these warnings were ignored. The suspect continued to accelerate his vehicle until it began to swerve and eventually veered off the toll road.

The suspect’s car was seen coming to a halt outside the toll road, where several police officers immediately approached. The suspect was seen lying inside the vehicle before being taken into custody by the police.

When asked for confirmation, Bogor City Police Chief, Kombes Rio Wahyu Anggoro, confirmed that the circulating video depicts the actual moment of the arrest. “Yes, that is the perpetrator. The Criminal Investigation Directorate and Bogor City Police carried out the arrest,” said Rio.

Rio expressed his condolences for the incident involving the victim and pledged to resolve the case thoroughly. “I, along with all members of the Bogor City Police, offer our condolences for this incident, and I will ensure this is resolved completely and responsibly,” he stated.

The victim’s body was discovered at approximately 01:15 WIB. Following the discovery, the body was immediately evacuated to a hospital.
