Moments from Prabowo's Informal Visit to Check Settlements Along Senen Railway Tracks
President Prabowo Subianto carried out an informal visit to the settlements along the railway tracks in the Senen Station area, Central Jakarta, on Thursday (26/3/2026), to directly hear the aspirations of the local community living in that region. During the visit, Prabowo wore a blue shirt and brown cap while walking through the slum residential area along the railway tracks. Prabowo was seen accompanied by Cabinet Secretary Teddy Indra Wijaya and Presidential Secretary Rizki Irmansyah. The on-site conditions showed a dense environment with rubbish along the roadside, as well as tents and shacks standing against walls near the railway tracks. In his statement via Instagram, Prabowo mentioned that he was traversing the settlements along the tracks, located about three kilometres from central Jakarta. He wanted to see the living conditions of the people firsthand while listening to various complaints voiced by the local residents. Residents who saw Prabowo’s arrival immediately approached, shook hands, and requested selfies. Some residents also conveyed their aspirations, while trains occasionally passed on the tracks as the head of state dialogued with the community. Prabowo emphasised that the government would soon build decent housing for the people in that area. He stated that providing decent housing for the people is his determination.
