Moments Before Airport Train Strikes Truck at Poris Railway Crossing in Tangerang

A Soekarno-Hatta Airport train struck a truck at level crossing JPL 21 on the Rawa Buaya–Batuceper line on Friday (20 February).

The incident occurred at approximately 06.05 Western Indonesian Time when a trailer truck became stuck on the railway crossing.

As a result of the collision, the airport train derailed at a point not far from Poris Station in Tangerang City.

KRL commuter rail services on the Tangerang route were also affected, with trains only operating as far as Rawa Buaya Station.

No casualties were reported in the incident.

Officers are currently focusing on the evacuation of the derailed train carriages.
