Moment When Traffic Corps Chief Turns Around Three-Axle Vehicle on Pejagan Toll Road That Insisted on Passing During Return Flow
Brebes, VIVA – The Head of the Indonesian National Police Traffic Corps (Kakorlantas) Polri, Irjen Agus Suryonugroho, took firm and uncompromising measures to ensure the smooth flow of return traffic and the Eid al-Fitr 1447 H holiday period. During his monitoring, Kakorlantas did not hesitate to stop and turn back goods transport vehicles with three or more axles that were caught stubbornly passing through the Pejagan Toll Road area on Thursday, 26 March 2026. This action was taken to follow up on the Joint Ministerial Decree (SKB) regarding restrictions on goods transport operations during the Eid transportation period to guarantee the comfort of holiday travellers. Polri urged logistics business owners to comply with the regulations to maintain the smooth return flow. Enforcement against violations has also been carried out in the field. “To ease the density of outbound and return traffic, operational restrictions on three-axle vehicles are also in place,” Agus stated in his remarks on Thursday, 26 March 2026. “Kakorlantas urges logistics business owners to comply with these rules, and enforcement has been conducted against violating vehicles to prioritise the smooth flow and safety of travellers,” he added. The Polri Traffic Corps, together with the Ministry of Transportation (Kemenhub) and the Ministry of Public Works (PU), has imposed restrictions on goods transport operations from 13 to 29 March 2026 as part of the Eid security measures. The policy was implemented to address the significant surge in vehicle volume during the outbound and return flow periods.
