Moment When Prabowo Pushes Paspampres Member Blocking Workers During May Day at Monas

JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com - President of the Republic of Indonesia Prabowo Subianto momentarily pushed a member of the Presidential Security Force (Paspampres) who was blocking workers as Prabowo had just arrived at the May Day celebration in Monas, Jakarta, on Friday morning (1/5/2026). Based on footage from the Setpres YouTube channel, Prabowo appeared to arrive at Monas in a white Maung Garuda vehicle. Prabowo emerged from the vehicle’s sunroof to greet the workers who had been waiting for his arrival. Shortly afterwards, Prabowo chose to exit the vehicle and walk on foot to shake hands directly with the workers. However, several workers were seen patting Prabowo’s chest and nudging his shoulder, causing the Head of State to be slightly pushed. Subsequently, Paspampres members reacted by tightening security around Prabowo. They blocked workers who wanted to shake hands and record the moment of meeting Prabowo. Then, Prabowo continued his journey towards the main stage of the Labour Day celebration.
