Moment When Prabowo Meets 13 Major Japanese Business Leaders

President Prabowo Subianto also held a meeting with 13 leaders of major companies in Tokyo, Japan, on Tuesday (31/3/2026). This was part of his working visit to Japan, following a meeting with Japanese Prime Minister Sanae Takaichi at Akasaka Palace. “This meeting is part of efforts to strengthen strategic investment cooperation, particularly to promote industrial downstreaming as a national priority and to strengthen Indonesia’s position in the global supply chain,” according to the Cabinet Secretariat’s Instagram on Tuesday (31/3/2026). It was explained that several major companies present included Toyota Motor Corporation, Mitsubishi Corporation, and Panasonic Group. In addition, there were other strategic companies in various industrial sectors such as INPEX, Marubeni Corporation, Sumitomo Corporation, and others. On that occasion, it was explained that Prabowo wants to encourage Japanese investors to be more active in expanding investments in Indonesia, particularly in the downstream sector, to increase added value and create jobs.
