Moment When MPR, DPR, and DPD RI Leaders Have Lunch at DPR Canteen to Discuss Geopolitics
The Chairman of the MPR, Ahmad Muzani, the Chairman of the DPR, Puan Maharani, and the Chairman of the DPD, Sultan Baktiar Najamudin, had lunch together at the Democracy Canteen in the Parliamentary Complex, Senayan, Jakarta. What was discussed?
The lunch moment occurred on Thursday (16/4/2026). The three arrived at the Democracy Canteen using a buggy car driven by Sultan. Puan sat next to Sultan, while Muzani sat in the back seat.
Upon arriving at the canteen, they chose one of the tables. Puan, Muzani, and Sultan then enjoyed lunch together with staff and employees who were taking their lunch break.
Sultan revealed the content of the conversation among the parliamentary institution leaders. He said the moment was an ordinary lunch and they briefly discussed developments in the geopolitical situation.
“It was just lunch with typical Nusantara dishes. And of course, a little discussion on national affairs amid the current geopolitical turbulence,” said Sultan.
The former Deputy Governor of Bengkulu added that, as fellow legislative institution leaders, they appreciated and expressed thanks to the public for maintaining the conducive atmosphere of democracy and national unity amid global uncertainty challenges.
“Through this lunch agenda at the DPR’s Democracy Canteen, we want to convey a message of unity to all elements of the nation. We believe the Indonesian people are also very united and want our nation to always be in a peaceful atmosphere,” he said.
