Moment When AHY Scolds Ciliwung River Basin Head for Leaving During Briefing

Minister of State for Infrastructure and Regional Development (Menko IPK), Agus Harimurti Yudhoyono, was seen reprimanding the Head of the Ciliwung River Basin Authority during an event. The reprimand stemmed from AHY’s speech, during which the head of the authority instead walked away.

“Is that right, sir, head of the authority? Eh, sir, head of the authority, stay here, eh, where are you going?” said AHY in a video uploaded to the TikTok account @cecesunandar163, quoted on Tuesday, 12 May 2026.

While at the podium, AHY briefly turned his gaze to the side. He then gestured with his hand, as if asking the head of the authority to return to his seat and listen to the briefing.

AHY also questioned the head of the authority’s attitude, who appeared to be leaving the location.

“I’m speaking for you, sir. Where were you going earlier? No, no, listen to me first here. How can you follow the briefing if you’re not here when I call you?” said AHY.

AHY also admitted to having called the head of the authority twice but received no response. He then asked the head to sit down and listen to the briefing first.

“That’s not how it works, sit down first, sit properly. Sit, sir. I called you twice, but you weren’t there. No need to go there later, just sit for now, sir,” he said.

The Minister of State for Infrastructure and Regional Development also explained that he wanted to provide clarification related to the presentation already delivered by the head of the Ciliwung River Basin Authority.

“I repeat, I want to refer to what you said earlier. You presented data, I’m referring to this. You listen so it becomes complete. This is a very important policy. In fact, I’m supporting you so we can implement it well. You can do that later, sir, I already noticed earlier. Don’t worry about it. I want us to focus on the substance,” said AHY.
