His arrival was immediately welcomed by Philippine President Ferdinand ‘Bongbong’ Romualdez Marcos Jr. Other national leaders present at the forum included Malaysian Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim and the Sultan of Brunei Darussalam, Seri Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah. The event began with cultural performances, followed by the opening by President Bongbong. Bongbong welcomed the heads of state. He expressed appreciation for the presence of the ASEAN leaders. “Allow me to convey my sincere appreciation for your presence at this important event. I realise that the journey here is significant, given the demands of schedules and responsibilities in your home countries, yet you have chosen to be here,” he said. It is known that Prabowo has been in Cebu, Philippines, since yesterday. He was seen using the Maung Garuda vehicle since landing at Benito Ebuen Airbase. This marks the first time Prabowo has used the Maung Garuda vehicle in his international visits.
