Moment Prabowo Proudly Meets Sugianto in South Korea, the Indonesian Migrant Worker Who Saved 7 Elderly from Forest Fire
JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com - President Prabowo Subianto met with an Indonesian Migrant Worker (PMI) who saved elderly people from a fire some time ago, Sugianto, during a state visit to Seoul, South Korea, on Wednesday (1/4/2026).
The meeting took place at a state luncheon at the Presidential Palace of the Republic of Korea, Cheong Wa Dae (Blue House).
Sugianto was honourably invited by South Korean President Lee Jae Myung while hosting Prabowo and the visiting delegation to South Korea.
During the meeting, Prabowo showed a gesture of pride towards the PMI from Indramayu, West Java, for his heroic actions some time ago.
Not only that, Prabowo appeared to shake hands with Sugianto, who was wearing a complete suit and standing next to President Lee.
The three also chatted briefly, with Sugianto positioned in the middle between the two presidents.
Before leaving Sugianto, Prabowo gave a short but meaningful message.
“Take good care of yourself, they like you,” said Prabowo proudly.
