Moment Destry Reveals First Experience Joining KSSK

Acting Bank Indonesia (BI) Governor Destry Damayanti has revealed her first experience presenting at a Financial System Stability Committee (KSSK) press conference at the Indonesia Deposit Insurance Corporation (LPS) office on Monday (3/8/2026). When given the first opportunity to answer questions by Finance Minister Purbaya Yudhi Sadewa, Destry admitted she was slightly startled. “Surely we want to hear a statement from the Senior Deputy Governor of BI, please Madam (Destry) answer the questions first,” said Purbaya. “That’s cheating, I have to answer first,” Destry replied. After answering the first question, she admitted to feeling a little tense as it was her first time in a KSSK meeting as Acting Governor of BI. “So I’m not tense, because this is my first time at KSSK, in front of the Finance Minister too,” she said.
