Mojtaba Khamenei's Leadership Causes Despair for the US and Israel
Iran’s top security official, Ali Larijani, has stated that the selection of Mojtaba Khamenei as the next Supreme Leader has brought “hope” to Iran and caused “despair” among hostile, war-loving enemies in the US and Israel.
In a statement shared on his X account, Larijani wrote: “Your selection by the Assembly of Experts as the leader of the Islamic Republic system has made hostile enemies and war lovers despair.”
Meanwhile, the Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) claimed to have attacked al-Adiri airbase in Kuwait. In a statement carried by local media, the IRGC said its naval forces targeted the al-Adiri helicopter airbase in Kuwait with drones and cruise missiles. They claimed to have destroyed fuel and gas tanks at the base, US helicopter landing facilities, and logistical support structures.
The Iranian Embassy in Jakarta issued an official statement regarding the selection of Ayatollah Seyyed Mojtaba Hosseini Khamenei as Iran’s third Supreme Leader. The embassy confirmed Mojtaba Hosseini Khamenei’s appointment as Iran’s third Supreme Leader amid escalating Middle Eastern conflict tensions. Oil prices surged 25 per cent following his official appointment to replace Ali Khamenei.
President Pezeshkian and all of Iran’s military forces have officially sworn allegiance to the new Supreme Leader, Mojtaba Khamenei, to strengthen unity against aggression.
A UI expert, Professor Suzie Sudarman, assessed Mojtaba Khamenei’s selection as Supreme Leader as evidence that Iran remains committed to its clerical system despite pressure from the West and Israel.
