Mojokerto man sexually abuses his stepdaughter from primary school to university, uncovered after wife caught him

A man identified by the initials EM, 53, was arrested by Mojokerto City Police’s Criminal Investigation Unit for molesting and raping his stepdaughter. The depraved acts were carried out repeatedly since the victim was in the third grade of primary school.

‘The suspect (EM) was arrested in Magetan; we have detained him since 4 March 2026,’ said AKP Mangara Panjaitan, head of the Mojokerto City Police’s Criminal Investigation Unit, as reported by detikJatim, on Thursday, 5 March 2026.

The depraved acts by EM were uncovered on Wednesday, 4 February, at around 23:30 WIB. The acts came to light after the victim’s biological mother, RJ, 51, caught the perpetrator abusing her daughter in the kitchen.

‘At that time, the victim was forcibly asked by the perpetrator to serve him in a sexual relationship as if husband and wife,’ Mangara said.

Based on the investigation, the victim admitted to being repeatedly assaulted by her stepfather since she was in grade 3 of primary school, around age 10. When the victim reached 17, the perpetrator carried out the depraved acts again.

‘The intercourse occurred more than five times within a one-month period, and the continued intercourse persisted until the victim entered higher education,’ he added.

EM has now been designated a suspect and detained. He faces charges under Article 6c of Law Number 12 of 2022 on the Crime of Sexual Violence (TPKS), Article 473(1), (2) letter b, (3) letter c and (9), as well as Article 418(1) of Law Number 1 of 2023 on the Penal Code.
