JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com — The Indonesian modest and Muslim fashion industry now has a new meeting place designed specifically to showcase the best works of local brands.

Located on the 2nd Floor of Sarinah Thamrin, Central Jakarta, the Modest Luxe concept store officially opened as a curated showcase that brings together quality, identity, and global potential in one location.

The presence of Modest Luxe is not just about adding to the shopping options, but also about answering the need for a platform that represents the face of Indonesian modest fashion as a whole.

CEO of Scarf Media Indonesia, Temi Sumarlin, explained that the great potential of Indonesian modest and Muslim fashion needs to be balanced with strict selection to maintain quality.

According to her, Indonesia has many brands with strong characters, but not all of them have a central representation space.

“We see that the potential for modest fashion and Muslim fashion in Indonesia is quite large. But we really want to be able to curate the best modest and Muslim fashion brands in Indonesia,” said Temi at the Modest Luxe Press Conference at Sarinah Thamrin, Tuesday (24/2/2026).

The need for a central reference point also comes from abroad. Temi said that international interest in Indonesian modest fashion has been increasingly felt in recent years.

“Many stakeholders in various countries, whether in Southeast Asia, Saudi Arabia, or even in Europe, have asked about a place where they can see and buy quality modest fashion products,” she said.

From this condition, Modest Luxe was born as a solution that unites a variety of brands in one curated space.

“I find it difficult to answer, because in Indonesia there are many and rarely a place that accommodates these various brands. From this, we present Modest Luxe to promote local products to the global market,” said Temi.

Currently, Modest Luxe has brought together around 25 modest and Muslim fashion brands, with opportunities for expansion that remain open as the curation process continues.
