Modern Beauty Technology Assessed as Having Potential to Boost Visits to Bali

Bali is gradually becoming a new magnet for body care and beauty enthusiasts, blending the comfort of a tropical holiday with the pursuit of a healthy lifestyle, now popularly known as wellness tourism. This potential is viewed as more than just a mere aspiration.
Health practitioner dr Jesslyn Amelia, Sp.DVE, noted that the presence of the latest beauty technologies offers a significant opportunity to attract more domestic and international tourists to Bali for self-care purposes. This insight was shared by dr Jesslyn while treating foreign patients recently. She stated that news regarding the arrival of global medical innovations in Bali has piqued high levels of curiosity among expatriates and travellers.
“I had an experience last May where a foreign patient came in for a skin booster and was surprised when I mentioned that XERF technology would be available in Bali. This non-invasive skin tightening technology, which is famous in America, Europe, and Australia, made them very enthusiastic,” said dr Jesslag Amelia, Sp.DVE, in Denpasar on Monday (29/06/2026).
According to her, such enthusiasm indicates that technologies trending in developed nations are immediately sought after as soon as they arrive in Bali. One such beauty technology that has finally landed in Bali is XERF, a machine featuring multi-frequency monopolar radiofrequency technology from the United States and South Korea.
As the head doctor at Elea Clinic Bali, dr Jesslyn explained that this aesthetic machine operates using multi-frequency waves of 6.78 MHz and 2 MHz monopolar RF. Its primary functions are skin tightening, collagen reconstruction, and improving skin quality from the topmost layer to the deepest layers.
Before deciding to bring this technology to her clinic, dr Jesslyn had reviewed various scientific journals and personally tested the machine’s reliability for one year. She found strong reasons why such treatments are highly sought after, particularly in a place like Bali. High outdoor activity under the tropical sun often triggers the appearance of dark spots and sagging skin in adult women as they age.
