MODENA Group, an Indonesian multinational with a diversified portfolio including ICT products, and the Russian Direct Investment Fund (RDIF) signed a strategic cooperation agreement on the sidelines of the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum in Russia on 4 June 2026. The partnership aims to develop industrial and manufacturing projects across both nations, including the potential formation of a joint venture, technology transfer, and production localisation initiatives. High-technology development and digital transformation are also part of the collaboration, encompassing MODENA’s Seamless ICT solutions and artificial intelligence technologies from Russia. Both sides agreed to support Indonesian companies expanding into the Russian market while opening cross-country cooperation opportunities for Russian firms seeking to grow their business in Indonesia. RDIF CEO Kirill Dmitriev stated that the partnership serves as a foundation for delivering joint industrial projects, expanding manufacturing capacity, and accelerating the localisation of high-value technology in both Russia and Indonesia. He added that by combining RDIF’s investment capabilities with MODENA’s industrial expertise, the collaboration could help reduce various operational and regulatory barriers while supporting companies from both countries to enter new markets. MODENA Executive Vice President Michael Jizhar noted that Indonesia is entering a critical transformation phase where innovation and technology will play an increasingly significant role in driving sustainable growth. He said that through the partnership with RDIF and various leading Russian companies, MODENA aims to accelerate this journey by exploring opportunities in the manufacturing, AI, and ICT sectors.
