Model Given Rp 2 Billion by CSR Suspect Heri Gunawan Summoned Again by KPK
The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) is continuing its investigation into the alleged corruption of corporate social responsibility (CSR) funds from Bank Indonesia (BI) and the Financial Services Authority (OJK). The anti-graft body has again summoned model Fitri Assiddikki, who is also a former expert staff member for suspect Heri Gunawan (HG). KPK spokesperson Budi Prasetyo confirmed the scheduling of the witness examination for Tuesday (23/6) at the KPK building in Kuningan, Jakarta, though details of the questioning were not specified. Fitri had previously failed to comply with three summonses earlier in June without providing any reason. The KPK has named Satori and Heri Gunawan as suspects; both were members of House Commission XI at the time of the alleged offences. Investigators believe that after BI and OJK agreed to provide social programme funds to each commission member, the suspects did not use the disbursed money in accordance with regulations. The KPK has also seized a car worth approximately Rp 1 billion from Fitri Assiddikki, which was allegedly purchased using part of the more than Rp 2 billion she received from Heri Gunawan.
