Model complains of deception

JAKARTA: A model who was cast for what she thought was a soap commercial which was later used in a porn VCD has filed a complaint with city police.

Melvy Noviza Z told the police on Tuesday that she was offered a job to model in a soap commercial. For the ad, she agreed to take off her clothes and acted as if she was taking a shower. The shooting took place in a house on Jl. Cempaka Putih, Central Jakarta in June last year.

Until today, however, the commercial has never appeared on TV. But recently, a VCD containing the shots of Melvy as well as eight other "models" and some sexual acts, was found in the market here and in Bandung. The pictures were also available on the Internet.

Bandung Police had earlier arrested a man for duplicating the VCDs and an employee of a private television who acted as the art director. --JP
