Mobile studio from TVRI

DILI, East Timor: The state television network TVRI will soon
have its first mobile studio in East Timor to strengthen its
coverage of Indonesia's youngest province.

The studio will be launched formally by Minister of
Information Harmoko and East Timor Governor Abilio Jose Osorio
Soares on Jan. 13, head of the TVRI station in Dili Sumarjono
said yesterday.

For the purpose of operating the mobile studio, TVRI has
recruited and trained 20 East Timorese youths who graduated from
the polytechnic.

The facility will allow TVRI greater access to East Timor's
remote regions.(yac/emb)
