Mobile SIM Services in Jakarta on Sunday

Jakarta (ANTARA) – The Jakarta Metro Police Traffic Directorate (Ditlantas Polda Metro Jaya) will provide mobile driving licence (SIM) services at two locations in Jakarta on Sunday, making it easier for residents to renew the validity of the legal document required for driving.

The Jakarta Metro Police said on its Instagram account, @tmcpoldametro, that the service points would be open from 7am to noon Western Indonesian Time (WIB).

The locations are:

East Jakarta: Jalan Raden Mas Intan, beside McDonald’s, Duren Sawit.

West Jakarta: Jalan Panjang, beside Indomaret, Kebon Jeruk.

The mobile SIM service only handles renewals of valid licences for certain categories, namely SIM A and SIM C. If a licence has expired, its holder must apply for a new one at a location designated by the police.

Under Government Regulation No. 76 of 2020 on the types and tariffs of non-tax state revenue applicable to the National Police, renewal costs Rp80,000 for SIM A and Rp75,000 for SIM C.

Applicants must also pay additional charges for psychological and medical tests through the Simpel Pol application.
