Mobile SIM services in Jakarta closed for Independence Day

The Traffic Directorate of the Jakarta Metropolitan Police suspended mobile driving licence services at Satpas Daan Mogot, the DKI Jakarta Satpas Unit, the DKI Jakarta SIM Outlet Unit, and the Mobile SIM Unit on Monday, coinciding with the 81st anniversary of Indonesian independence. The police announced via the @tmcpoldametro Instagram account that licence issuance services would reopen on Tuesday, 18 August 2026. Holders whose driving licences expire on 17 August 2026 may renew them on 18 August 2026. If a licence holder fails to renew by the 18 August 2026 deadline, they will be required to follow the procedure for obtaining a new licence.
