Mobile SIM services available in four Jakarta areas on Tuesday

Jakarta (ANTARA) - The Directorate of Traffic (Ditlantas) of Metro Jaya Police is providing driving licence (SIM Keliling) services at four locations in Jakarta to help residents extend the validity of their legal driving requirements on Tuesday. The mobile SIM kiosks will operate from 08:00 to 14:00 WIB. Via the official X (formerly Twitter) account of TMC Metro Jaya Police, the service locations are: East Jakarta: Lobby in front of Grand Cakung Mall; South Jakarta: Parking area next to Trilogi Kalibata University; West Jakarta: South Lobby of Ciputra Mall; Central Jakarta: Parking area of the Lapangan Banteng Post Office. To access and receive service at these SIM Keliling facilities, the public must prepare and complete the required requirements and administrative fees before visiting the document renewal locations. The requirements include a photocopy of a valid ID card, a photocopy of the old SIM and the original SIM, proof of health check, and proof of psychology test. This mobile SIM Keliling service can only extend SIMs that are still valid for certain categories, namely SIM A and SIM C. For SIMs that have expired, the owners must apply for a new SIM at locations designated by the police. The renewal fees, in accordance with Government Regulation (PP) Number 60 of 2016 on Non-Tax State Revenue, are Rp80,000 for SIM A extensions and Rp75,000 for SIM C extensions. For SIM B, renewals cannot be done at the SIM Keliling service but must be renewed at the Driving Licence Administration Unit (Satpas) office due to differences in the document’s purpose. The SIM B document itself is intended for vehicles weighing more than 3.5 tonnes.
