Mobile SIM Services Available at Five Jakarta Locations on Wednesday

The Traffic Directorate (Ditlantas) of the Metro Jaya Regional Police is providing mobile driving licence (SIM) renewal services at five locations in Jakarta on Wednesday for residents needing to extend the validity of their legal driving permits.

Citing the official X (Twitter) account of TMC Polda Metro Jaya, the service operates from 8am to 2pm Western Indonesia Time at the following locations:

East Jakarta: Front lobby of Grand Cakung Mall

South Jakarta: Parking area beside Trilogi University Kalibata

North Jakarta: Main lobby of LTC Glodok

Central Jakarta: Parking area of Lapangan Banteng Post Office

West Jakarta: South lobby of Ciputra Mall

The mobile SIM outlets only process renewals for SIMs that are still valid for specific categories, namely SIM A and SIM C. If the validity period of the SIM has expired, the holder must apply for a new SIM at a location designated by the police.

Regarding renewal fees, in accordance with Government Regulation (PP) Number 76 of 2020 on Types and Tariffs for Non-Tax State Revenue (PNBP) applicable to the National Police, the cost is Rp80,000 for SIM A and Rp75,000 for SIM C.

Meanwhile, renewal of SIM B licences can only be carried out at the SIM Administration Organising Unit (Satpas) office due to differing documentation requirements, given that this licence is specifically for vehicles weighing more than 3.5 tonnes.
