Mobile SIM Service Handles License Renewals in Jakarta and South Tangerang
The Mobile SIM (Driving License) Service remains one of the alternatives for the public wishing to renew their driving license without having to visit a Satpas (Driver’s License Service Office). On holidays, the facility continues to be utilized by residents who want to handle renewals more conveniently.
On Sunday, 15 February 2026, the Mobile SIM Service in the DKI Jakarta area operates on a limited basis at several locations. Although the number of locations is fewer than on weekdays, service remains open for applicants wishing to renew their still-active driving licenses.
Based on information from the National Traffic Police Corps monitored by VIVA Otomotif, East Jakarta residents can make use of the Mobile SIM Service on Jalan Raden Inten, right next to the McDonald’s in Duren Sawit. Service at this location opens from 08:00 WIB to 12:00 WIB with a limited queue capacity.
Meanwhile, West Jakarta residents can visit the Mobile SIM vehicle operating on Jalan Panjang, directly in front of Bank BJB Kebon Jeruk. Residents are advised to arrive early to avoid missing out on service numbers.
In addition to serving the Jakarta area, the Mobile SIM Service is also available for South Tangerang residents. The service vehicle is stationed at Giant Bintaro Sector 7, operating from 08:00 WIB to 12:00 WIB.
It should be noted that the Mobile SIM Service only handles renewals of SIM A (car license) and SIM C (motorcycle license) that are still valid. If the license has already expired, applicants are required to apply for a new license at a Satpas by completing the theory and practical examination stages.
To apply for a renewal, applicants need to prepare a valid national ID card (KTP), the original driving license along with a photocopy, and a medical examination certificate. Complete documentation will help the service process run more quickly.
In accordance with Government Regulation Number 60 of 2016 on Non-Tax State Revenue, the renewal fee for a SIM A is Rp 80,000 and for a SIM C is Rp 75,000.
